Immaculate Heart of Mary brooch

This stunning Immaculate Heart of Mary brooch is big, beautiful and will certainly stand out!

It is made from my favourite red ripple acrylic with layers of olive green leaves and watermelon coloured roses that have a hint of gold glitter. The sword is silver mirror acrylic with a metallic gold handle. All etched areas have been hand painted. The brooch is made up of 16 laser cut pieces in total.

This piece was inspired, not so much from religion, but the beautiful colours and religious artworks throughout Mexico. Let's just say that Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet had a small influence and, in later years, images and painting of Frida Kahlo.
